Connie Pena, Esq.


Attorney Connie Peña is the founder of Peña Law Office, P.A., where she represents clients in the areas of Criminal Defense, Marital and Family Law and Immigration throughout the Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties. Mrs. Peña obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Criminology and French and a minor in Portuguese from the University of Miami. She earned her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, Mrs. Peña interned at the Office of the State Attorney for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of Florida. Her interest and passion for criminal law led her to compose her research article "Sixth Amendment Right to Counsel: Broaden the Scope, Decriminalize, and Ensure Indigents a Fair Chance in Court and in Life" which was published in the St. Thomas Law Review.

Mrs. Peña began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender for the Broward County Office of the Public Defender, where she represented individuals in a wide range of criminal matters, ranging from petit theft, Driving Under the Influence (DUI), possession of controlled substances, robbery, burglary, and others. Her proficiency in numerous languages lead her to additionally assist many non-U.S. Citizens who had been charged with an offense and whose immigration status was dependent on the outcome of their criminal case. Attorney Peña is careful to analyze the possible immigration consequences of criminal charges facing non-U.S. Citizen clients to ensure the best outcome possible. Mrs. Peña has extensive trial experience having tried numerous jury trials and non-jury trials. She has obtained many favorable results for her clients, including not guilty verdicts, and the dismissal of charges. She is dedicated and committed to fighting for her clients and ensuring the best outcomes possible in all aspects of their life, and guiding her clients throughout process.

Mrs. Peña currently serves as President of the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association, and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Palm Beach Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mrs. Peña has also been recognized by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys 10 Best (2017) and The National Advocates Top 40 Under 40 (2017).

Monica Offredi, Esq.


Attorney Monica D. Offredi earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Florida International University, where she was consistently listed on the Dean's list. She earned her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law, where she received the Pro Bono Honors Award and participated as a student attorney in the Immigration Law Clinic. Prior to gaining her law degree, Ms. Offredi worked for nearly a decade within the banking and financial industry, which provide her a strong foundation in complex financial, accounting and corporate issues.

Prior to joining Peña Law Office, P.A., Ms. Offredi was an Associate Attorney at the Law Office of Christopher W. Rumbold, PLLC, where she specifically restricted her practice to high income/high net worth complex matrimonial and family law cases. Ms. Offredi represented clients throughout the tri-county area in matters involving divorce, time-sharing, property distribution, alimony, child support, paternity, domestic violence, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

Prior to her employment at the Law Office of Christopher W. Rumbold, PLLC, Ms. Offredi was an Assistant Regional Counsel with the Fourth District of Florida, Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, in Broward County, Florida, Dependency division. In this capacity, she represented parents involved with the Department of Children and Families from shelter hearings through termination of parental rights trials. During her time as an Assistant Regional Counsel, Ms. Offredi gained extensive trial and courtroom experience. Prior thereto, Ms. Offredi was employed as a Program Attorney with the State of Florida Guardian ad Litem Program. She represented the best interest of children in child abuse, egregious abuse and complex termination of parental rights cases. Attorney Offredi is a fierce advocate for her clients, who aggressively fights for her clients both in and out of the courtroom, and simultaneously guides them throughout the complex and often intimidating legal system.

Ms. Offredi has served over four years as a member of the Board of the Broward Hispanic Bar Association and currently serves as the Treasurer for the 2017-2018 term. Ms. Offredi was recently recognized by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys, 10 Best (2017), Top 10% of Attorneys Nationwide (2017), and Lawyers of Distinction (2017). She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, the Broward County Bar Association, Palm Beach County Bar Association, Weston Bar Association and the Dade County Bar Association. Ms. Offredi is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Italian.
